The Rumble – Awatoto

Thats right, it’s time to Rumble !!!

Back on, and back at Awatoto. Home of Model Flying Hawkes Bay.

Last year was a bit “damp” with a cyclone  making its mark on the Hawkes Bay, the field was washed away.

But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Awatoto site is backup and running, and will host the Aerobatics Rumble in 2024.

Mark this one on the fridge now, usual “last weekend in February” timing. We’ve had some really good events at Awatoto, so makes sure you get to this one.

Combined Pattern and IMAC.

It’s a 3 day event, the flying will start on Friday morning.

At the previous rumble, we had lots of people camping at the field, and now we have the mobile shower setup, it’s going to make this a really good option.

Also note that the weekend before the Rumble, NZ is hosting an F3A Trans Tasman event, so we are hoping that a few of the visitors take a scenic drive to the Bay, and fly in the Rumble too. We shall see !!
