Aerobatics @ Tect Park – Tauranga
Last time we flew up there was back in March, and it was a cracker of a day. It was a mix of Pattern and IMAC.
This is a one day comp, so we only have enough time for each pilot to fly one class, as we have been doing lately.
If you are coming to this one, let me know what you prefer to fly, and a second option, and we can see what works out to make up the numbers. I suspect we will get a really good turnout in Sportsman IMAC, I know a number of guys out practising this lately.
If there are some “total” newbies, we will run Clubman Pattern.
Those of you already comfortable with Basic IMAC, we can still run that too, but for total first timers, Clubman is the better option, cause its centre manoeuvres only.
So email me if you are coming and we can start getting a list going.
Let me know if you need accom, we have some space at Baldricks, plus there are a few other modellers that could put you up for the night.
The field will be open Sunday too, but not for contest flying, local club guys will be in action.
I expect we will try to get started 9:30am.
If you have not been to Tect Park before, click the link to the Tauranga Model Aircraft Clubs website, and there they have directions. Take a left as soon as you get into Tect Park, and follow the signs to the “Model flying area”. Not very good phone coverage up there, so if you are from Auckland, and you get lost, you are on your own !!!
