Aerobatics Primer / Coaching Day

So what’s it all about ?

It’s primarily aimed at newbies keen to improve their flying skills. We will focus on the NZ Clubman schedule. A basic centre manoeuvres only sequence that can be flown with a sport model. Even a foamie. If you can do a loop and a roll you can handle it. Trust me.

But as well as this we will be doing general aerobatics practice and with some experts helping on the day we are able to help you if you want a bit of coaching / setup tips etc, whether that be your 2m pattern model or your IMAC ship. Learn from the best.

Disclaimer … we only have 900 feet at Waharoa. It’s perfect for pattern and some of the entry level IMAC classes. But a 3m IMAC model with a 150 in it … can’t be done, so don’t bring it. 50cc / 70cc is just fine.

You need to be an MFNZ member and ideally you have passed the basic wings test. But we will have qualified supervisors on site if you haven’t. Waharoa is an active aerodrome, so we have a few safety factors in play.

Burgers on the BBQ at lunch time. Moderately fresh buns.
