DESCRIPTION:Following a very successful F3A Trans Tasman event in February 2024 at Hamilton MAC\, with superb weather\, a great attendance\, plus a great field location located relatively close to Auckland Airport for international guests to join us …. \nAnnouncing …. The 2025 NZ Masters !!! \nThats right … we are resurrecting this event. A 3 day pattern event for all classes\, F3A through to Clubman. \nJanuary 17/18/19 … its holiday time for most people in NZ\, plus school holidays too. And it’s also Wellington Anniversary weekend which means people south of Taupo get the Monday off as a bonus. \nThis will be a 3 day event running Friday to Sunday. The field will be open from Thursday for setup and practice. \n6 round contest. \nClasses flown: Clubman\, Expert\, Masters A25\, F3A P\, F3A P + F \nNotes: \nF3A P will fly 6 rounds of P25. This class is for fliers who are not interested in trialing for NZ team\, and have no interest in flying F schedule. They just wanna fly P !! \nF3A P + F. The big boys. 4 rounds of P. Top 50% (or at least 4 fliers) will then move on to fly 2 rounds F25. Std 4P2F format for the scoring. Drop 1 P\, carry the avg into the final. Two F flights are flown. You get to drop 1 of the scores from your 1P2F. \nFor the bottom 50% of the P + F class\, they will go into a 2 round “P” flyoff. We did this at the TT and it worked really well. So if you don’t make the cut\, you will still fly 6 rounds. \nThe F3A P + F event will serve as the 2025 NZ Team Trial selection for international rankings\, for 2025\, and through to the next trial. \nEntry Fees: \nClubman\, Expert\, Masters\, F3A P – $50. \nF3A P + F (and Team Trial) – $100. \nInternational Pilots are welcome !! When we ran the TT\, we made it free for the Ozzies\, and its likely we would be doing something like that again to attract as many internationals as we can to promote our NZ Masters into becoming a popular international event\, much like the Australian Masters.
