On the other hand\, if you have a 2025 Proteus 2m F3A model\, I hope you are good at flipping burgers !! \nNow if the Classic Schedule is a bit too much for you\, just have a go at flying Clubman instead\, you can do this with your Classic model. Actually Clubman is open to any type of model\, a low wing sport model is perfect\, doesn’t have to be a true classic\, even a foamy can fly Clubman. \nSponsored By www.HangarOneKits.com … some cool prizes on the day. \nWe want you to really get into the spirit of this\, so turn up in your full on 1960s / 1970s classic gears. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a season opener !! \nLast year I think due to weather we ended up running our first event of the season at HMAC\, and it was a really good day\, central for most people to get to\, and a great way to kick off the season. \nSo we are doing it again. \nThis is a one day event\, on the Saturday\, at HMAC. \nPick your favourite class. Eg you might decide you want to fly Sportsman IMAC\, or you may think nah\, I want to fly some pattern instead\, so have a go at Expert Pattern. Or you could be keen on just doing some Classic ? \nAt a one day event\, there is only enough time for people to fly in one class each. \nWhen you register please put the preference of what you want to fly in order\, and we will figure out what works. Eg 1. Clubman Pattern. 2 Basic IMAC. \nMore info closer to the date. \nBTW – We have a longer runway at HMAC now\, so you can land even further past yourself\, and run off into the long grass. But the runway is still the same width\, which seems to catch a few people out. \nAnd …. FYI … on the Sunday right after is the Club Float Plane Day at a Lake just north of Hamilton. So if you are into that\, why not do both ? Its a lot of fun. \nLast thing\, the field has been pencilled in for the following Saturday (10th Oct) as a rain date. So keep that in mind. \n

DESCRIPTION:At the last Galatea event in May 2026\, dinner was run in the aeroclub\, and the consensus amongst those present was … lets run the Rumble here in Jan 2027 !! \nIn all the years of going to Galatea\, we’ve never had a mid summer event in Galatea …. I can tell you\, it will be roasting hot !!! \nWith it being this warm we are expecting people will all camp on the aerodrome\, where the marquee will be setup for dinner each night. Plus of course the mobile shower will be in action. \nStart factoring this one into your plans for summer\, its two weeks after the Hawkes Bay Nationals\, and for you lot that live in the Wellington region\, Monday is your anniversary public holiday. \n
